Welcome to the ATLAS Overview Week 2008 Homepage

In summer 2008 the largest particle accelerator ever built, the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva, will start operation. The collected data are expected to answer fundamental questions about the Universe. From July 6th to July 11th about 500 physicists from the ATLAS Collaboration will meet in Bern to discuss the status of the experiment.

The event is being organized by the Laboratory for High Energy Physics of the University of Bern, a member of the ATLAS Collaboration. The venue is the Business Center of Stade de Suisse in Bern. Pre-meetings and registration on Sunday 6th July will take place in the main building of the University.
